Kurt Baumann, Chairman and CTO
Kurt Baumann has founded and run Internet and technology companies since the 1980s. He founded the first commercial ISP in Japan and also launched InterCon Systems, the leading producer of Internet software on the Macintosh, which sold to PSINet in 1995. Recently, Kurt helped launch Kadoo, a consumer cloud computing company. Previously, Kurt served as the chairman and owner of Inter.net and has also held senior management and chief executive positions at Quintum Technologies, Inter.net Global, PSINet, InterCon Systems, and Learning Tree Software. He attended the University of Illinois.
Jay Atkinson, CEO
Jay Atkinson has led hosting pioneer AIS Network through its move from Illinois to Virginia and through its subsequent rebranding and expansion.  A former banker, he has held financial and operational leadership roles in various industries over the last two decades.  As managing partner of a strategy and management consulting firm, he advised companies across various commercial sectors on growth opportunities and strategic repositioning.  He has also led the successful turnaround of numerous distressed companies.  Holding an MBA from Virginia Tech and a CPA, Jay was a finalist for Virginia Business CFO of the Year in 2007.
Daniel Lundahl, Founder
Daniel Lundahl is the founder of AIS Network. After a successful career in the business documents industry, Dan founded AIS Network in 1993 to address the growing demand for technology solutions in the marketplace. Expanding from a local to regional to worldwide technology solutions provider, he has established AIS Network as a leader in the managed hosting industry. Throughout his career at AIS Network, Dan has held positions of leadership in management, business development, client relations and key strategic initiatives. He received a B.A. in business administration from Northeastern Illinois University.
Donna Hemmert, Vice President, Strategic Development
Donna Hemmert is an Internet executive with over 15 years experience in marketing, strategy, and partner development. She is the former CEO of OptiView Technologies, a Web content acceleration company. Previously, Donna served as Vice President of Marketing for Roku Technologies, one of the original peer-to-peer (P2P) software companies. While with Netscape Communications, Donna drove major partner relationships. Prior to Netscape, as Director of ISPs in the PSINet Wholesale division, Donna created relationships, defined products, and created and implemented marketing and sales strategy. She received a B.S. in business from California State University, Northridge.
Laurie Head, Vice President, Marketing Communications
Laurie Head has more than two decades of experience in strategic marketing, corporate communications, public relations, and public affairs, including more than 15 years spent in the high-tech industry. From private start-ups and nonprofits to publicly held companies, Laurie has counseled a range of organizations with interests in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Her domestic and international programs have amassed numerous accolades, including the prestigious Award of Excellence from the Public Relations Society of America and a Gold Mercury Award. Laurie received an M.A. in political management from The George Washington University and a B.S. in journalism, magna cum laude, from the University of Maryland.
Terry Engelstad, Vice President, Network Operations
Terry Engelstad, a Chicago native and former professional soccer player with the Chicago Mustangs, has been working in the IT and Internet infrastructure fields since the late 1980s.  Terry has worked for small and large companies, including  well-known brands Wickes Furniture and Rand McNally.   Terry holds  nearly two dozen certifications (Microsoft, Cisco and Oracle) and his experience spans network engineering, software engineering, system analysis, and management, just to name a few.   Terry started with AISN in 2007 and is responsible for network operations.
