SSAE 16 Type II Certification
AIS Network has completed an examination in conformity with the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements No. 16 Type II, which is the “SSAE 16 Type II Audit.”
AISN is certified to have processes and safeguards in place that are designed to protect our clients’ assets and data, which reside in our managed hosting services data center.
A service auditor’s examination — performed in accordance with SSAE 16 Type II — is widely recognized because it represents that a service organization has been through an in-depth audit of their control objectives and control activities, which includes controls over information technology services and related processes.
SSAE 16 has replaced the SAS 70 audit. Using many of the same provisions established by SAS 70, an SSAE 16 audit adds important aspects to become more viable in the global marketplace and broaden the use of the service auditor’s report. These changes enable the SSAE 16 to mirror the internationally used ISAE 3402.
Hosting Quality Is Independently Assured With SSAE 16 Type II Certification
Completion of the SSAE Type II examination indicates that an independent accounting and auditing firm has formally evaluated AISN’s processes, procedures and controls.
For the SSAE 16 Type II certification, KirkpatrickPrice, LLC, extensively audited AISN in the following key areas:
- Processing integrity
SSAE 16 Type II is designated by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as an acceptable method for a user organization’s management to obtain assurance about a service organization’s internal controls without conducting a separate assessment.
