Richmond, Va. — October 2, 2015 — Secure and compliant eGov services provider AIS Network applauds Governor Terry McAuliffe’s proclamation that October is Cyber Security Awareness Month in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Celebrated every October, National Cyber Security Awareness Month was created as a collaborative effort between government and industry to ensure that everyone has the resources needed to stay safer and more secure online.

As the premier provider of secure and compliant eGov hosting and services to multiple state and local government agencies in Virginia, AISN recognizes its commitment to cyber security. Through AISN’s contract vehicles, executive branch agencies, counties, cities, towns, schools and all other public entities throughout the commonwealth can use AISN as a one-stop-shop to build, host, operate and maintain their mission-critical applications, websites, portals, databases and more. The company provides a litany of managed security services that protect the most sensitive data for government and private enterprises alike.

“We all need to do our part to make sure that our online lives are kept safe and secure. That’s why AISN is proud to support Cyber Security Awareness Month and Virginia’s cyber awareness efforts,” said AISN CEO Jay Atkinson, noting Virginia government’s unique and vital role in identifying, protecting, and responding to cyber threats intended to harm individual and collective security and privacy.

“As an eGov services provider to the commonwealth, we have heightened awareness and regard for cyber security vigilance. We’ve provided innovative cyber security and data protection solutions and services to government customers for years. Each year, we look forward to extending our efforts to raise awareness among our employees, our customers and the community at large about online dangers and remaining vigilant.”

Coordinated and led by the National Cyber Security Alliance and the Department of Homeland Security and now in its 12th year, National Cyber Security Awareness Month has grown exponentially since its inception, reaching consumers, small and medium-sized businesses, corporations, educational institutions and young people across the nation and internationally.
